Now depending on who you are as a player, this mod being on our list might seem like heresy. But assuming you don’t want to go treasure hunting or having to build speed all the time, this mod will alleviate this issue.

Now, this can be remedied in-game through gameplay by finding gear that enhances speed, such as the boots of blinding speed. To anyone that has played vanilla Morrowind, you’ll know that if you don’t build into speed at all, then the early game is slow, literally. Run faster is a mod that does exactly what it says, it increases player movement. You can try to add or change one simple thing and it dominoes your entire game until you have to reinstall. Overall, I'm having a good time when it's working but Morrowind modding is such a fickle creature.

The other suggestions of seeing if you can override the mod's regen parts with another magicka mod. Try saving the game, buying a few new spells and see if it's like that for every spell. Upon another reinstall and making a fresh character, I thought it was still broken at first but when I learned a spell or two from Arrille and cast them, it seemed to be working as intended. I, however, feel like swiftcasting is too good not to have so I spent many hours tinkering with it. It shouldn't cause a conflict or cause you to reinstall anything. The simple fix is to just run the code patcher and deselect swift casting. I ran into several problems overall but the main one was the magicka regen with swift casting. The extracting part on the 3rd or 4th step makes me want to just end it all.
#Morrowind overhaul mod mods
I went through the tedious process of installing MGSO with the combat overhaul on top of several personal taste mods and it is annoying to have to redo it on windows 10. I was actually in your exact situation a couple of days ago. I have considered not using MGSO, as it is the main culprit, but from what I've read many consider it essential due the bug fixes and improved compatibility it provides. I was wondering if there was anyone on this subreddit who has had any experience with this mod, or if anyone could provide an alternative they know will be successful. I could re-install the game and re-apply the mods all over again, but at this point I'm rather discouraged and feel like I will likely just encounter another problem.
#Morrowind overhaul mod Patch
There is a conflict with the swift casting option from the Morrowind Code Patch and the magicka regen aspect of the mod. The problem I have now encountered that has made me give up was to do with the combat overhaul mod. After re-installing the game many a time I finally got it to run adequately by disabling the distant lands aspect of MGSO. These problems were mostly related to MGSO making Morrowind underperform. However, every time I installed the game, applied MGSO and then the mod I would encounter a problem. Now onto my main point: I found a mod that addresses the complaints I have with the combat system. The reason for this is a complaint I'm sure you're all sick of hearing: I don't like Morrowind's combat system. The game I have yet to complete is Morrowind. In the summer I completed Oblivion, then Skyrim SE was released recently and I completed that too. So, a bit of background first: (feel free to skip this) This year I really got into the Elder Scrolls. TL DR: Anyone used this mod in conjunction with MGSO and had success?
